The so-called 'Diversity'

    Today, I am truly impressed by the fact that there is some real learning going on in the class in Spain. I have been assigned to another mentor, named Rocio. 

    I have to say, she is really impressive.😍 I can't tell how much I enjoy her lesson to the extent I didn't even realise time has passed. 

    Each of her class is well-organised and engaging, what is important is the children's enthusiasm. 

    Can you imagine, when the teacher said 'one, two three, eyes on me.'

    Every student answers simultaneously with energy and positive vibes, in a loud manner, 

    'ONE, TWO, THREE, EYES ON YOU'. 😍

    When the teacher asks them 'do you understand everything in English?'

    At the same time, everyone answers energetically, 'YESSSS'😄

    She even asked the students to explain a new game with me, which is called 'Wordle', which is very COOLLLLL!

    By the end of the lesson, she taught the students in a way, 

    'I believe you are a polite class, so let's say thank you very much and bye to En'

    and what I received is overwhelming!

    

    This is the kind of teacher I have always been looking for; and it is rare to witness. I am grateful I have met one again after ages. 

    Surrounded by the culture and norm, it is very difficult to against the tide and put in every single effort without knowing the result and having each of her class in this way:)

 I think her patience and effort is more than we could imagine!

    If possible, do you think whoever come across this piece of writing, can pass on the message to the director as on how valuable teacher Rocio will be in the long run? I think probably not only her, but there are teachers who are there, remain undiscovered, but working so hard, that the influence can never be underestimated. 

    You know, after observing her lesson, I realised there is diversity; there is no right or wrong, sometimes, the world needs a bit more tolerance and consideration. 

    Everyone comes from different culture and background; instead of trying to figure out who is more superior, I think it is the respect that leads us further. :) 

    I appreciate all the mentors I have been with, because what I gained is not solely the experience, but another kind of worldview, where diversity matters:)
