End of the first week and the start of a new one. No full-on teaching so far because of exams, but plenty of classroom support.

I should be teaching first thing Tuesday so plenty of lesson planning going on. Well, making resources actually; trying to get away from noses in books and watching videos. I need to be ready with the Spanish for the vocabulary I'm introducing to help elicit what I want.

The town was pretty amazing yesterday. Everybody - but everybody - was out having lunch! Oh, by the way, I've run out of tea and everything is shut - need to track down a Tesco-express equivalent.

The kids, and both the teachers I work with, are great, but the teachers are reluctant to lose their lesson time with the kids, so that's a bit frustrating.

Missing the warmth and comfort of a long-time partner. Facetime helps a lot but it's no substitute; ah well, comes with the territory, I guess.

Still, what an adventure!
