One Blog At A Time

I am both terrified and thrilled to have been accepted onto the Erasmus + programme where I get to teach English in Spain. I am in my mid to late thirties and I feel I probably should have done this sort of thing back in my twenties when the world was my oyster and I had no responsibilities. But here we are. Looking back I was too full of self-doubt in my twenties, so now as a worldly wise thirty something I am much better equipped to take on this challenge. That’s what I’m telling myself.

The trip is a month long. Any longer and I’m not sure my husband and two children would survive. I’m hoping to be pleasantly surprised and find they have thrived without me. It could happen. I have been a stay at home Mum for the last seven years, that kind of negates my worldly wise theory, but I have become a master negotiator, developed unending patience (I can listen to the same song on repeat for days -it’s a skill.) and learnt that a positive attitude and laughter will get you through the toughest days. So this is my return to society, I’m jumping in at the deep end and taking it one blog at a time.
